Part V of my favorite songs of 2011.
Christmas is literally a week away, so I thought what better post to do than a post about Christmas music? As I’m sure people who read this blog know, I love Japanese music more than anything. The great thing about Japanese music is that they truly have music for every. single. season. Every one. Which I find fantastic, because I tend to listen to songs that I feel go with the season. Anyway, Here are some of my absolute favorite Japanese winter songs (like last SOTM post, to DL the song click on the title)
Choosey Lover by Tohoshinki
Yes, you read that right. I could have chosen Can You Celebrate by Namie that just about every Jpop fan thinks is the absolute be all to end all wedding songs. But no.
I actually don’t plan on getting married…ever, but if I were, I would love to play this song at my reception. It has a really great old school RnB vibe that everyone in my family loves (Interesting tidbit: when I first fell in love with this song I let my sister listen to it and she thought it was sampled after a song by some RnB group. I don’t know if that’s true or not, but she sang the American song and it did have a very similar melody…and some of the same words, so she might be right).
I just know we all would have a good time dancing to this song .
Junsu had a cameo in the drama, Scent of a Woman and HNNGG he looked so gorgeous and his hair was just so perfect and he sounded so cute and gorgeous when he sang in Engrish and he spoke some Japanese and his smile was just so angelic and he performed some of INTOXICATION!! And I just Adj;sakjd’fja’fjksfjlf!!
BE STILL MY HEART.
Here it is:
And the song he sang for the drama:
I just love him so so so so much. Almost a year after I left the fandom and my love for him has not dwindled at all.
Forever my #1 bias. Seriously.
Went shopping today, and I bought this cream colored top. My boobs look a-mazing in it (TMI I know, but I was so excited when I realized it). The funny thing is, that’s the only article of clothing I bought when I went shopping. Everything else I bought from Sephora.
I need to stop wasting money on make-up. But I wear it all the time, so I run out of things quickly D:
ANYWAY, onto the post
Once again, no contest. This is probably one of the few songs that just from hearing the beginning notes, can make my mood better in an instant. The Chunglish, Yoochun’s voice full of grease, the beat, and the best part of it all…the rap.
“MY LOVE IS BIGGER THAN GINGERBREAD MAN’S VITALITY” Gets me to smile every time.
My GirlFriend by Micky Yoochun
I think I may start doing “Songs of the Moment” as a separate post from now on…
Mayumi Yamazaki – Hello, Fine Days (Her new single (With You) is really good. I wanted to post that, but I couldn’t find it on YouTube)
Sayuri Sugawara – Forever… (Find this album (of the same name) and download it. It’s pretty amazing. And her voice is to die for.)
miss A – 하나부터 열까지 (I’ve never really been a miss A fan…but I’m really liking their new album.)
UNCHAIN – 太陽とイーリス (This band… I feel like I just hit a goldmine lol. I am loving them.)
Yuka Masaki – Lady Luck (If you haven’t checked out this girl yet, you are missing out.)
Kyarypyamu – PONPONPON (I am so in love with her. I’ve been obsessed for about a month, and now, I’m obsessed with this song. It’s been stuck in my head for the past few days)
THSK – Superstar (Yunho…I love you, but please stop singing like that. Doing it sometimes is okay, but every song?!)
Dohzi-T – 誓い Ft. YU-A (This is such a perfect single. I recommend it. It’s just…I have no words.)
Beginning of next week expect a regular post ^_^
Now, I’m off to finish reading Naruto and watching Ao no Exorcist (I’m alternating)…
Back home in Louisiana. Glad to see my babies(my dogs), but I’m missing Florida already.
For people who live in the U.S., I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. I feel so bad because I did a post on the 4th and forgot to wish Jin and especially GACKT a happy birthday. 27 and 38….wow. (and Canadians too! Canada’s independence day was like a week before right?)
Bought a shit ton of stuff while I was there…I’m so broke right now. Gonna have to wait until next week to order Ayu’s mini-album.
This post ended up being a little longer than I wanted it to be, because I ended up rambling on the Namie section. Blegh. Sorry.
I feel like I have to post something other than the music challenges…I’ve just been all over the place. I don’t get to leave Louisiana very often so when I do, I like to go site seeing as much as possible. Plus it’s my first time in Miami so I’m trying to make the most of it.
Before we get onto the post though…The last few posts I briefly talked about how annoyed I’ve been with Kpop/Jpop fans and their elitism…anyway, someone I’m friends with on tumblr sent me a link from this website where the person talked about exactly whats been annoying the shit out of me for the past month.
The website is called AntiKpop-fangirl (they are not anti-kpop, they can’t stand the fangirls.), after reading that post, I lurked around the site and basically they talk about all kinds of shit that annoys them about fangirls and the fandom. Some of the things they said were kind of harsh and I didn’t agree with, but this post that they did…I agree 100%. It touched on everything I felt and then some.
Anyway, If you’re a Kpop fan and you aren’t too sensitive about your fandom be free to check out the entire site…but really I only wanted to link that specific post .
Onto this entry.
OMG. I’ve been addicted to Tumblr for the past week. I usually only went on there every now and then, but for some reason, I’m just on there the entire time I’m on my laptop now.
Unfortunately, because I’ve been on it so much lately, it made me realize again just how… elitist a lot of Asian pop fans are. Really. It’s okay to like Asian music, but don’t act like it’s better than Western pop because it’s not talking about “drugs, getting wasted, and sex”. Get the fuck off ya’ll high horses for real (One of the biggest pet peeves I have about Asian pop fans.)
Anyway, as for this post, there honestly isn’t anything that I really want to talk about…Really.
